As a Democratic candidate for the open
State Assembly seat in our community, I would like to tell you a bit about why I decided to run for this office.
As a single mother, educator, lawyer
and small business owner, I have dedicated my life to this community. But as I watch our public schools deteriorate, our economy
suffer from run away jobs, and health care become inaccessible to many families, I am running because I feel a responsibility
to play a bigger role in turning California around.
As a community leader, I have never
been afraid to take on the tough issues. And I will continue to do just that if elected as your next Assemblymember. I want
to shake things up in Sacramento–to take on the drug companies, the corporate polluters and the big insurance
companies–because families should come first.
But no elected official can do it alone.
I hope that during the course of the campaign we can begin a dialogue that will continue if I am elected to the State Assembly.I
look forward to getting to know you and exchanging ideas, so that together, we can make the 44th Assembly District
a great place–for our children, for our families.
See you on the campaign trail.
